What we do

We believe that there has to be an easier way of studying to pass an R0 exam, rather than just using a highlighter pen and a study text. Any R0 exam will take 50-100 hours of study. But success is not only about ‘how much?’, it’s about ‘how effective?’

The R0 audio study guides are produced by The Patterson Group who are the market leaders in audio MP3 support for both the R0 and AF exams. Our material is available to purchase either through ourselves or via the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Who we are

The Patterson Group was founded by Ian Patterson over 27 years ago. In addition to providing unique audio study guides, our experienced training team  provide training to hundreds of people a year who are  sitting CII exams. Most of these trainers either are (or have been) past CII examiners. Not only this, they are also subject matter experts who are able to communicate in a clear and interesting way.

Ian is the author of eight study texts for various professional institutes, including three current texts for the CII. He is Chartered, a Chief Examiner, an ex-IFA and an author of eight study texts.
